Everyone in 2010 had the option to buy a ticket for "Whatever They Could Afford". 25% of all attendees paid a penny or less for their ticket.
A Little Heaven Fest History...
On July 26th 2008, the first Heaven Fest happened in Brighton, Colorado. Over 12,000 people came out to enjoy the day and worship Jesus Christ.
On August 8th 2009, Heaven Fest returned to Colorado. At 2:35 pm that day, Heaven Fest literally SOLD OUT! If it weren’t for a local farmer who let us use his property at the last minute, we would had to have turn people away! The festival almost doubled to over 23,000 people.
On July 31st 2010, 27,000+ people attended Heaven Fest at its transitional location in Longmont, CO. The Body of Christ came together in droves; many accepted Christ and were baptized in Union Reservoir that day. No one was turned away for lack of funds as the Whatever-You-Can-Afford ticket price policy continued.
This July 30th 2011 Heaven Fest moves to The Ranch in Loveland, Colorado. We are expecting more than 35,000 people. 8 stages, 100 artists (3 indoor, air-conditioned stages), better traffic access, better camping, great view of the Rocky Mountains and more!
2011 Letter From The Executive Team of Heaven Fest...
We, as a leadership team that represents hundreds of INCREDIBLE volunteers, just want to come right down front street and say what Heaven Fest is about. It's about making an event that Jesus would actually like to come to. It's about giving to the poor, the exploited, the orphan, the widow, and the sexually trafficked. It's about bringing people that follow Jesus together to worship HIM. It's about planting and watering seeds of God's WORD in the hearts of people. It's an good excuse to bring people together to pray and cry out to God for GENUINE revival (we know that's a loaded word, but what we mean when we say "revival" is that the Spirit of Christ would come hang out in the Rocky Mountain Region in a HUGE, UNDENIABLE way.) Lastly, Heaven Fest is, what we call, a "hope dispenser". We want people that feel hopeless to hook up with THE SOURCE OF HOPE.... JESUS.
Straight up: the bands, the festivities, all the attractions are a great way to bring the Body of Christ together – to gather the generations, races and denominations and people from all backgrounds for this one purpose – for Jesus Christ to be the focus, the center of that day in Colorado and a 7-state region. We are praying for our region to have such a REAL ENCOUNTER with Jesus that they will follow His like never before!
